Christina Macdonald won a giant red ribbon for her abstract submission to her elementary school’s art fair and has been hooked ever since. In a professional capacity, her creative energies have been focused on supporting collaborations between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples to advance environmental and cultural sustainability in Canada. Christina has made abstract art, landscape watercolours, figure drawings, short videos and scientific illustrations. Most recently, she has been painting loose self-portraits that capture the energy of every-day moments – these have been enjoyed immensely by her family and friends.
